The St. Louis Blues are a professional ice hockey team based in St. Louis, Missouri. They are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference of the NHL and play their home games at the Enterprise Center.

The team is owned by Tom Stillman and SCP Worldwide, LLC. David Backes serves as the team captain, and Jaden Schwartz is currently the scoring leader.

Founded in 1967 as an expansion team, the Blues were one of six new teams added to the NHL during that year’s league expansion. The team reached the Stanley Cup Finals three times consecutively (1968, 1969, 1970) but did not win the championship in those appearances.

The Blues were established by Sid Salomon III, Robert L. Harmsen, and James D. Norris Jr., and their first owners were brothers Sidney and Barnett G. Solomon. The team is named after the classic W.C. Handy song “Saint Louis Blues,” and the logo features a stylized blue note in homage to the song. The team’s primary colors are blue, gold, and white.

The Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis seats 19,150 fans for Blues games. The team is currently coached by Mike Yeo, with David Backes as captain and Jaden Schwartz leading the scoring charts with 32 points (17 goals, 15 assists).
